On this One Day Tour from Bucharest I’ll take you to the world-renowned Dracula’s Castle in Transylvania. We travel in a private minibus with fully adjustable seats that will make your trip very comfortable.
We’ll leave Bucharest in the morning at 08:00 AM. The route will pass through Carpathian Mountains allowing you seeing beautiful landscapes.
First stop will be in Sinaia - a mountain resort of national interest. Here you’ll visit Peles Royal Castle. According to different sources this is one of the most beautiful castles in the World. Built at the end of 19th century on a medieval route linking Transylvania and Wallachia it is the former summer residence of the kings of Romania. Nowadays it is the most visited museum in Romania.
The second attraction of the day and the main one will be Bran Castle (known as Dracula’s Castle) in Transylvania. The castle is situated in the horseshoe of the Carpathians. With a history of more than 600 years, Dracula’s Castle is still covered in mystery.
The third stop of our day trip from Bucharest is represented by medieval city downtown of Brasov. Here you’ll have up to 2h of free time. You can shop, eat, venture through historical buildings or just go to a few of the astonishing viewpoints towers that surrounds the old city.
On top of all during the day will have a lunch break at a restaurant to experience a traditional Romanian lunch.
Expected time of return in Bucharest is 21:00, traffic or other circumstances can be unpredictable so please do not schedule something else close to that time.
!!! Please kindly note that on certain dates Peles Castle is closed. On these dates will visit instead Pelisor Castle or Rasnov Fortress.
Part of the same complex, Pelisor castle is the only one in Romania built in the Art Nouveau style. If your aim is to visit Peles Castle, please check the visiting hours at Peles Castle official website @ www.peles.ro/program-si-taxe, before booking this tour. Great Tours, as tour organizing company is not responsible if the visited sites are closed for any reason or without prior notice, at the time of visiting. Thank you for your understanding!
